lines written after the funeral of barry jordan a young man taken early

on a day dull with tragedy
when sadness flows like tears
who are you bold reader
what dull day is yours
if i could i'd touch you
though nothing now appears
of what i was or wished to be
from my dead place in the years
vivat jesu domini

our lives seemed but a breath among
tangled fields and ancient river
careless eden of the young
there i thought to live forever
fighting loving being afraid
living laughing melodies
hold my hand the vision dies
this tear is all that's left of me
vivat jesu domini

swan and swanner

epiphany

Whatever relationship I have with the God of the Hebrews, it does not involve him setting me up with hot dates on a Saturday night. (Or any other night - God Of The Hebrews note.)
